First, you're probably wondering why I would give five stars when it broke into 2 pieces and is unrepairable. Well, I purchased the broken one new in July of '14 and this tool doesn't owe me a dime. I've saved so much time and effort with this tool, I was able to respect its quick death, as it literally decapitated it self right in my hand. I've been an automotive tech for nearly 20 years now, and started laughing when this broke as it's definitely a first for me. I did look for replacement parts, however it was the motor housing that split and non replaceable. I love this tool so much that I bought another without question. This by no means a replacement to a regular 3/8 impact, it's meant to be a very welcome addition. I have to say this is by far my most used "specialty" tool. I see reviews for this saying how it has no power, which if used correctly is a false statement in my opinion. No this won't break loose a bolt that requires a 42" breaker bar. It's a cross between an air ratchet and an impact. I use this on anything from wheel bearings to complete motor tear downs. Also, huge time saver for exhaust manifolds, as you don't have to remove wheel well covers on most Chevys. You can save time breaking loose timing cover bolts. Without this I would start by breaking bolts loose with a regular ratchet and then grab my air ratchet to find 1/2 of them want to come out hard, then back to taking them out by hand. I rarely use my air ratchet anymore, so much so that I had a co-worker ask if I purchased a new tool as it "sounded different". No, the dusty 3/8 air ratchet was just getting use as I was waiting for my new 2015MAX.If I were to give advice after seeing it's innards. I would say, don't hold the trigger on a bolt that isn't moving, as I'm going to put my own advice to use. This is when she failed, the bold had just started to move after about 10 seconds, and then POP.If you're a tech on flat-rate or just like working smart and not hard, do yourself a favor ... buy one right now and if used correctly, you will not regret it.
