As I am somewhat new to these garments, my therapist ordered a 30-40 mmHg to augment the 20-30mmHg a few times per week. I ordered these thinking it was similar, but the top band of the MAX is quite a bit larger and the socks tend to slide down and then cause deep gouges in my lower legs where the fabric doubles up. The Max does not hold up on the knee highs for me and it did not seem as though the 30-40mmHg made much difference in the compression either. I believe these are meant for larger sizes than IV, even though that is what it was supposed to fit. I am trying a regular dynamic 30-40 pair (non-Max) pair to see if it does any better.
