Great winch for the money! Was easy to install, I’ve used them for years!Just purchased as the black ops winch lasted just over a year. We will see how it goesThis will be simple and sweet.Good: - fits most mounting plates - comes with everything you need and some you don’t- works!Bad:- instructions kind of suck- contractor is not moisture resistant which means this thing is going to short over time- switch sucks. No lights nothing special. Just a momentary switch though so I wired another one.- the cable roller is too thick on each side of the bolt. Had to hit with the angle grinder to make it sit prettyAfter reading many reviews, I purchased this winch for my 2020 Outlander 450. Directly bolted on without the need for additional brackets. I installed the solenoid under the seat, directly in front of the brake fluid reservoir. Tapped into existing power line for canam winch and installed the extended remote plug to the center of the grill. Wires are tucked away and install was as easy as it could be. Only thing I would have liked is to have one end of the cables not be terminated to easily adjust the cable lengths for more of a custom fit. Company wanted to charge me $300 for a 2500lb with a steel cable, installed. Saved myself some money and installed to my personal standards. I’d recommend this winch to othersInstall pretty much took a full 8 hours for me. I'm sure some could do it faster, but I had to make a mount for the included Switch box, since it didn't seem to line up properly with the holes that were on my ACE 900 for the desired mount location. Also wish the winch operation Switch included was able to screw into the dash instead of just a handle bar mount kit, since I have a ACE (no handle bar), but that's the way it goes when you get a product not specifically designed for your model. It did also come with a wired remote that screws into the dash (which is what I used). I really did want just a switch, cause now I'll have to dig out the remote every time I need to use the winch, but I didn't want to pay an extra $45 for a separate purchase of a swtich. so it worked out just fine all in all. I only took one star off because I haven't officially used the winch yet, but seems like a great product. It came with lots of extra so it can mount on lots of different vehicles. Worked great with the KFI 101180 winch mount for the ACE.This winch came will all hardware to install winch on atv easy to follow instructions.I have not had a chance to put this to the test, I made the purchase based on other reviews. It is easy to install if you are hands-on, but the directions are terrible. If you need to switch the direction of the "in-and-out" like I did to keep the rope from rubbing in the bumper bracket, you must swap the contact leads to the winch relay (black & green from dash switch), and that is not in the directions. I really like the plug in mount so I can operate the winch outside of the machine if need be. The included rocker switch seemed cheap to me, so I bought one that matched the factory Polaris rockers, and popped it into an existing blank space.This is a very nice winch. I just installed it on my 2016 Teryx 4, so I haven't had to use it yet. The instructions could have been a little better and in more detail. If you have any technical skill you can figure it out though. I used the MotoAlliance winch mounting plate for my UTV and everything fit perfectly. This winch come with a control module. I mounted underneath the hood to the left of the airbox. I wasn't sure where else to put it. I have yet to mount the plug for the remote. I am still trying to determine where that should go. I am leaning towards the right side of the airbox. I do not want it exposed to where you can see it. I'll post pictures if and when I get that installed.
